A P&O Cruises super-liner is ready to for its first holidaymakers after undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The Oriana ship is sailing back to Southampton after its overhaul refit, which includes a new Gary Rhodes restaurant, boutique hotel-style interior look and high tech children's facilities.

"Our passengers will be delighted with the renovations," said Nigel Esdale of P&O Cruises.

"We've done away with the traditional soft furnishings on Oriana and along with new mattresses we've introduced duvets and new pillows, Egyptian cotton linen and stylish bed runners to match the new sofas, cushions, curtains and headboards."

The ship will be joining P&O's three other cruise liners Arcadia, Oceana, and Artemis and is hosting a wedding at sea on January 7th, 2007.
