Egypt family adventures launched by Exodus

Adventure holiday company Exodus is highlighting its new range of family holidays to Egypt ahead of the Tutankhamun exhibition opening in London next month.

Exodus' two family adventure holidays for 2007/8 include camel rides and river cruises in sailing boats, as well as trips to the Pyramids of Giza and the Valley of Kings in Luxor.

Holidaymakers can go on a nine-day escorted tour of Caira, Aswan and Luxor, which includes an overnight stay in a single-masted felucca sailing boat, a camel ride and a chance to visit Abu Simbel - rock temples forming part of the Nubian Monuments.

The trip costs £949 per adult and £849 per child, including return international flights from London, local transport, six nights' hotel accommodation, one night sleeper train accommodation, all breakfasts, two dinners and one lunch. Departures are available until December 2008. Children must be at aged six or over.

Alternatively, holidaymakers looking for a longer family adventure can go on a tour of 11 days, which also includes snorkelling or diving at Hughada on the Red Sea.

The trip costs £999 per adult and £899 per child (minimum age five).
