Thursday, 20 Sep 2007 09:12
If you are looking to follow in the footsteps of Michael Palin and go to 'new Europe' then an adventure holiday is a great way to do it.

Active and adventure holiday specialist Exodus has three new escorted tours to Croatia, Bulgaria and Montenegro; all of which have been unveiled in its 2008/9 brochure.

A holiday in Croatia going on boat rides, tasting wines and visiting historic cities is available on the country's Dalmatian coast. On the itinerary are the island of Korcula, the Peljesac Peninsula, Mljet National Park, Dubrovnik, Split and Trogir. The tour costs £779 per person and includes flights, transfers and bed and breakfast accommodation, with departures available from May to October 2008.

Also new is an eight-day trip to Bulgaria where holidaymakers can visit rural villages, archaeological sites, go on walks and bird-watching excursions, as well as try out local wines. Stops in the capital Sofia and Plovdiv are also on the itinerary. The trip costs £769 per person, including return flights, transfers and most meals, with departures available from May to September 2008.

A longer eastern European break can be had with Exodus' 11-day tour of Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Croatia. Along with small hamlets, forests, rocky peaks and the Adriatic coastline, the trip also includes sightseeing in Kotor, Budva, Mostar and Sarajevo. The active holiday costs £1,009 per person, including return flights, transfers, all breakfasts and some lunch meals. The trip departs from July to September 2008.

All three trips are available from the Exodus Discovery, Wildlife and Adventure 2008/09 brochure.
