SWISS unveils expanded summer schedule

Flying within Europe is becoming ever more connected and SWISS airlines has announced an expanded 2008 summer schedule from Zurich, Geneva and Basel.

There will be new services from the SWISS Zurich hub to St Petersburg, Florence and
Sofia and a new flight from Basel to Belgrade.

From Geneva airport it will be possible to fly to Bucharest and Istanbul this summer.

The airline is also focusing on expanding services to Asia, with a direct daily flight from Zurich to Shanghai commencing on May 9th.

Between June and October there will be dailiy flights from Zurich to Singapore via Bangkok.

In Africa, SWISS is also increasing services to Douala and Yaounde in Cameroon and Dar es Salaam (via Nairobi) for the July to August high season.

The SWISS 2008 summer schedule, which runs from March 30th to October 25th, will cover 76 destinations in 42 countries.
