Monday, 19 Mar 2007 09:35
British Airways is to run more than 100 new flights from London City Airport this month.

The airline will be launching a new BA CityFlyer service from the airport from March 26th with new services to Glasgow and Zurich. There will be four flights per day to both cities.

Existing routes to Edinburgh from City Airport will also be increased to eight times per day under the new CityFlyer services. Flights to Frankfurt will leave three times a day, along with twice daily departures to Madrid and a daily service to Milan Malpensa.

Fares start from £39 each way, including taxes.

"London City Airport will be a major focus for us over the next few years. It is an increasingly popular base for customers, easy to use and conveniently located for the growing business districts of Docklands and the City," said Peter Simpson, BA CityFlyer managing director designate.
