As many as 20 destinations will be available for holidaymakers to fly to from Cornwall's Newquay airport in 2008.
Following a major expansion of the routes on offer from the airlines Flybe and Air Southwest, the number of routes from the airport will go up by 50 per cent.
Air Southwest's new routes fly to the British cities of Newcastle and Glasgow, Cork in Ireland and Chambèry in France.
Flybe's new flights, scheduled for April 2008, will go to Birmingham, Southampton and Glasgow.
Charter flights on a weekly basis are also planned to start in 2008, servicing the Isle of Man and southern Spain's Reus airport, a hub for Barcelona.
"We especially welcome the new links which were previously not served and have long been on our target-list," commented Chris Cain, Newquay Cornwall Airport project director.
"This demonstrates how attractive Newquay is becoming as a gateway to and from Cornwall, with customers appreciating the ease and convenience of flying from their local airport."
