Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is to offer travellers more European connections with its new routes to Florence, Sofia and St Petersburg.

The new routes are part of the expansion of the carrier's European route network from its Zurich hub.

Travellers flying via Zurich will be able to take advantage of three daily flights to Florence and daily services to Sofia and St Petersburg.

The airline is also introducing a seventh daily flight between Geneva and London City airport. SWISS also flies from Manchester airport in the UK.

A new summer schedule will include flights to Faro and Las Palmas, a daily service from Istanbul and a three times a week service to Bucharest.
