Gutted that you missed Glastonbury? Couldn't make it to the V Festival? Furious that you missed the Edinburgh Festival?
With festival fever nearly at a close here in the UK, there are a range of festivals happening in and around Amsterdam to make the fun last longer.
By day the
Amsterdam Dance Event is Europe's best conference on dance and electronic music.
By night it's a festival showcasing talent from across the dance music spectrum in venues around the city from October 23rd to 25th 2008.
With more than 100 DJs and artists performing, including Armin Van Burren, Sander Kleinenberg and the UK's Artful Dodger, it's an unmissable chance to party throughout the night while discovering new music, artists and DJs.
Watch the best selection of Dutch and Flemish Theatre at the
Amsterdam Fringe Festival from September 4th to 14th 2008.
Over 15 venues across the city, including the Melkweg and De Balie, play host to this festival, which provides recent graduates with a chance to showcase their work and mingle with more established performers.
The
PINT Bokbierfestival is celebrating its 31st anniversary in 2008 and will run throughout October at Beurs Van Berlage in Amsterdam.
PINT is a community that represents beer enthusiasts from all over Holland. Their annual festival highlights the fact that the Dutch have long seen beer-making as a fine art.
Live music will help you work your way through a variety of premium beers in Amsterdam's largest music hall. So, if you enjoy a pint or two, hop over to Holland and sample the best of Europe, as well as local brews.
Classical music lovers will be treated to the sound of young and talented musicians from around the globe this September 1st to 7th in the Dutch capital at the
International Gaudeamus Music Week.
Open to classical composers under 35, this competitive music festival will this year be held in the state of the art Bimhuis music hall. The festival attracts over 280 entrants each year from 54 different countries.
Dutch airline KLM is offering festival fanatics bargain fares to Amsterdam this autumn, where there is still a wealth of music and art festivals left to experience.
