Pisa and Jersey from London Luton with easyJet

Thursday, 20 Mar 2008 15:29
Two new services from London's Luton airport - to Jersey and Pisa - were launched today by easyJet.

The airline said it expects to carry 100,000 passengers on each of the new routes in the next 12 months.

David Osborne, easyJet's UK general manager, claims these two popular destinations will have "something for everyone".

A daily service to Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, will give holidaymakers a chance to enjoy the beautiful coastline and duty-free shopping in St Heliers.

Pisa is of course famous for its leaning tower but is also used by travellers as a gateway to Tuscany and Florence, as well as the beautiful coastal villages of Liguria.

Passengers taking the inaugural Jersey flight will be greeted at check-in by the orange easyJet 'Jersey cow'.
