If you have ever had the urge to live as the locals do in some of Europe's most exciting cities then a self-catering break can be a fun, and cheap way of holidaying in style.

Interhome, Zurich-based holiday home rental specialists, have announced late deals to two top European destinations in Italy and the Czech Republic.

The UK-wing of the company has a week's self-catering holiday apartment in Florence, Italy for £593, a saving of £95.

The apartment sleeps five and is just over five minutes walk from the city's iconic square, the Piazza Duomo, and is available for a week from October 28th 2006.

A more intimate break can be had at a studio apartment, sleeping two, in the Czech Republic's dynamic capital Prague.

The late deal offers a seven-night stay for the price of six, costing for £282, from October 21st onwards.

The apartment is around two kilometers from the city centre.
