Foodies delight - self-catering deals in Tuscany

Thursday, 02 Nov 2006 11:34
If you are keen to taste the best seasonal food in Italy's Tuscany region, then self-catering is one of the best ways to holiday.

Among the deals of the moment is a 30 per cent discount on a stay at La Ragana, a farmhouse surrounded by woodland, which sleeps eight and is down to £536 for the week.

Foodies can delight in tasting the owner's very own olive oil and wine.

Also offering a 40 per cent discount is a complex including a converted farm worker's house, grain store and barn, in the Chianti wine estate in the village of Lornano from £516 for a week, shared between six.

The accommodation is ideal for sampling the local wine and food at the highly rated local restaurant.
