Early booking deals on Umbrian holiday homes

Holidaymakers considering spending a spring or summer holiday in self-catering accommodation are being offered early booking discounts for properties in Umbria, northern Italy.

Real Holidays is giving 15 per cent off for bookings made before March for holidays in May, June or September on two of its holiday homes.

A four-bedroom 16th-century watchtower, Borgo Il Poeta, is available with a saving £258 on a week's stay, down to £1,462.

Located on the Umbria and Tuscany border, the six holiday homes overlook the Niccone Valley and have a pool, tennis court, croquet lawn and landscaped gardens, as well as antique furniture, a good stock of wine and homemade jams.

A week in the hill-top villa Casale de Lanci, which sleeps ten, has an early booking discount of £897 and costs £5,085.

The villa has plenty of wine, homemade jams, oils and vinegars, as well as a terrace overlooking a forest, a heated pool and a tennis court.
