If the heat of the summer is leaving you hot and bothered, then there is no better way to enjoy cooling off than with a last minute cruise holiday to Iceland and Greenland.

The cruise holiday offers travellers a guaranteed cool breeze, a chance to sip ice-cold cocktails on deck and take in mystical glaciers and giant icebergs.

Taking in Greenland, Iceland and Ireland, the highlights of this island-to-island voyage, with long days and short nights, include beautiful Disko Bay, where huge icebergs creak in the sea and whales can be seen coming to the surface, as well as the breathtaking Snaefellsjokull glacier at Reykjavik and the charms of southern Ireland.

The cruise also stops at the Faroe Islands, a group of 18 islands halfway between Britain and Iceland. From the capital, Torshavn there will be tours to outlying coastal villages, to the nearby island of Hestur or to the spectacular birdcliffs of Vestmanna.

Fresh sea air, open spaces and beautiful woodland make one of the smallest capital cities in the world a delight to visit. Torshavn has a population of approximately 15,000 inhabitants yet attracts nearly 4,000 vessels per year. This cultural centre is the home to many museums and a new national art gallery.

Other ports of call include Torshavn, Reykjavik, Nuuk, Ilulissat, Sisimiut, Narsarsuaq and Cobh, before returning to Harwich.

There will be lecturers onboard to enrich the experience, as well as special memorabilia and selected menus themed to celebrate the bygone era of classic cruising.

The last-minute deal on the 18-night 'Iceland, Greenland & Ireland' voyage, departing from Harwich on August 9th, is £1,499 per person, a saving of nearly 60 per cent on the brochure price.

The price includes all meals, lectures and onboard entertainment, taxes, tips and parking at the port or selected coach transfers.
