London to Iceland flights upped to 11 per week

Friday, 30 Nov 2007 13:42
In a bid to break down the images of Iceland as an expensive holiday destination, budget airline Iceland Express has announced plans to add extra flights to the country from London each week.

From the February 26th 2008, passengers will be able to fly to the country's main airport, Keflavík, from London Stansted 11 times a week.

The company is hoping to attract regular fliers to the country who usually use Heathrow, as well as new visitors, with one way tickets on sale from £69.

Iceland Express currently flies to 15 destinations across Europe from Icelandic capital Reykjavik.

The airline has recently undergone a facelift, revamping their aircrafts with a new colour scheme and logo.
