Summer break in Rhodes for Island Games

Monday, 04 Jun 2007 16:53
People wanting to combine an island break in the Aegean with international athletics will be able to enjoy the NatWest Island Games on Rhodes from June 30 to July 6.

The games, introduced on the Isle of Man in 1985 will see more than 2,000 athletes compete in 22 events over the week, offering an ideal opportunity for cultural exchange and social interaction with visiting teams.

For those less interested in the sporting side of things, the island is also home to thousands of years of history and culture along with Europe's largest waterpark.

British Airways has flights to Rhodes on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays costing from £55 per person one way including taxes, bookable online at www.ba.com

For more information about the island games go to www.islandgames.net, and for more information on Rhodes visit www.rodosisland.gr
