VFB Holidays is launching a 48-hour sale on holidays to Corsica from midnight on Friday.

The tour operator is offering savings of £100 on any villa or apartment holiday departing between May 7th and July 2nd.

The offer can be combined with existing offers, meaning there are potential savings of up to £300 per booking.

A one-week holiday in Corsica can cost as little as £390 per person, based on four people sharing a two-bedroom villa.

The price includes return flights, in this case from London Gatwick to Bastia in the north-east of the island.

Corsica is a mountainous island situated about 160 kilometres south-west of the French Riviera and 82 kilometres west of the coast of Tuscany.

The island, which is administratively part of France, is about half the size of the neighbouring island of Sardinia.

VFB Holidays' sale starts on midnight on Friday February 24th and runs until midnight on Sunday February 26th.
