New flights to Biarritz with easyJet

Friday, 04 Jul 2008 11:24
A new flight service from London Gatwick airport to the French resort town of Biarritz was launched today by easyJet.

Biarritz, on the coast of the Bay of Biscay, is famed as the 'Monte Carlo of the Atlantic' and has long attracted sun-worshippers to its beautiful beaches and charming 18th-century architecture.

Low-cost airline easyJet is expecting the route to be popular with people wanting short weekend breaks, as well as those wanting to explore the south-west of France and the Basque country.

UK country manager David Osborne confirmed that "forward bookings for the route have been strong", proving "the demand for affordable flights to the sun this summer".

The four times per week service will fly Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
