New easyJet flights to Nantes

Wednesday, 21 May 2008 17:06
A new flight route from London Gatwick to the French city of Nantes was launched today by easyJet.

The low-cost airline expects the picturesque city to be a popular city break destination, as well as a base for exploring the Loire Valley.

UK general manager David Osborne commented that "easyJet has seen a huge increase in flights to great short-break destinations this year".

The new route is predicted to see 60,000 passengers fly to Nantes to enjoy the cobbled streets, local seafood, world famous wines and surrounding countryside.

Nantes is only 50 kilometres from the Atlantic coast.
