New boutique hotel set for Tenerife

Retro glamour will meet Canary Islands chic with the refurbishment of the Hotel Sir Anthony at the deluxe Mare Nostrum Resort in Tenerife this spring.

Set to be top of every stylish holiday maker’s hit list, the exclusive Tenerife establishment re-opens in the spring and will offer all of the luxury of a boutique hotel, while maintaining the convenience of an established resort.

With an investment of €5.5 million (£4.9 million), the hotel is undergoing a very exciting interior and exterior overhaul.

Designed by architect and fashionista, Montserrat Garrigós, Hotel Sir Anthony will encapsulate the stylish flair which Garrigós has developed through her work with prestigious fashion companies, such as Mango, Marionnaud Perfumerías and Custo Barcelona- whose clothes are worn by such Hollywood celebrities as Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts.

Inspired by the geometric designs of India Mahdari and the warm shades used by prestigious designers Oitoemponto and Francesc Pons, the new look Hotel Sir Anthony will feature an avant-garde design and charming ambience.

Blending an eclectic mix of luxurious fabrics, classical woods, rich natural textures and vintage furniture from the 50s, 60s and 70s, Garrigós has created an air of old-school Hollywood allure; the perfect setting for a sophisticated break away.

With its beach front location and tranquil tropical gardens, the Sir Anthony provides an ideal haven for total relaxation; a separate entity of calm, yet with all the conveniences of the Mare Nostrum Resort complex.

The new hotel will also feature a personalised butler service and a choice of haute cuisine.
