A new route linking the Belgian capital Brussels with Aberdeen is set to launch April.
From April 16th 2007, BMI will be running what it says is a "much needed non-stop flight connection" between the two cities.
"Brussels is a much needed direct air link for the city in terms of both outward and incoming business travel and tourism and will doubtless be a popular addition to our flight network," explained Stewart Adams, managing director of BMI regional.
Aberdeen airport's managing director, Kevin Brown, added: "This new route is an important addition to Aberdeen's European route network and gives the city direct access to one of Europe's most dynamic and cultural, capital cities."
BMI is also set to launch two other new routes from March 2007, linking Aberdeen with Kristiansand in Norway and Edinburgh with Switzerland's biggest city, Zurich.
