Virgin ups Christmas and New Year Jamaica flights

Wednesday, 11 Jul 2007 10:17
Virgin Atlantic is upping the number of flights to Montego Bay in Jamaica this Christmas and New Year.

The airline will be running five extra services between London Gatwick and Sangster International airports on December 22nd, 23rd and 29th 2007, and January 5th and 6th 2008. The return flights will be departing on the same dates.

"We are thrilled to be able to add extra flights between London and Montego Bay," said Steve Ridgway, Virgin Atlantic chief executive.

"This route was the airline's eighth Caribbean route introduced only last year. This route has proved to be very popular with our leisure customers."

Mr Ridgway added he expected more than 2,000 passengers to use the extra flights.

New twice-weekly flights between London Gatwick and Kingston are also set to start from October 30th 2007.
