Tropical storm warning for Cuba

Tuesday, 30 Oct 2007 10:04
Holidaymakers are being warned of a tropical storm approaching parts of south-east Cuba.

The provinces of Guantanamo and Holguin, which includes the Guardalavaca resort, are currently under the storm warning.

The Foreign Office is advising visitors to the Caribbean island to keep in contact with their tour operators.

"If you are in Cuba you should keep in close touch with your tour operator and follow the advice of the Cuban authorities," the Foreign Office explained in a statement.

It added the hurricane season in Cuba normally runs from June to November.
