Camper van holidays for families

A new service offering holidaymakers a chance to travel across the UK in a VW camper van has been launched.

The classic vans, which are four of the last ever air-cooled VW campers to be made, will be available for hire with weekend breaks, festival trips and longer holidays in mind.

"These vans are symbols of all that’s good about travelling in the UK and we know that they're loved by millions," explained Andrew Purcell, of SevenDegreesWest.co.uk.

"We wanted to give people the chance to live the lifestyle and enjoy the experience for a weekend, a week, or longer, without any hassle or worries.

"We've got high-spec vehicles, and we've kitted them out so that people can just get in them and drive off."

The vans are based in Bristol, and holidaymakers will be offered advice on trips in south-west and south Wales with camp sites, beaches and surf schools in mind.
