Singapore Airlines has announced it will lay on more flights to New Zealand, Hong Kong and India, to meet the added demand of the Christmas period.

The airline will introduce an additional two flights to its weekly schedule between Singapore and Auckland in New Zealand from this month, giving holidaymakers stopping over in Singapore greater flexibility.

Another flight will be added to the route early next year, bringing the total number of flights between the two cities from ten to 13 a week.

Singapore and Hong Kong are also set to get better connected, with an additional three flights added to the weekly schedule, with a further flight to start from March 2007.

An extra flight has also been recently added between Singapore and Bangalore in India due to higher demand for travel between the two destinations.
