A low-cost airline is set to start new flights between Singapore and western Australia benefiting long-haul stopover holidaymakers looking to save money.
The flights with Tiger Airways will be between Perth and Singapore, and will start from March 2007.
The service will initially run four times a week, with daily flights planned from November 2007 onwards.
"Low-cost airlines such as Tiger Airways have changed the face of holiday travel in Asia by making airline travel more affordable," said Australian tourism minister Sheila McHale.
A return fare from Singapore to Perth in June 2007 costs just under £200 including taxes and charges.
The new flights are available for booking from Tiger Airways
