Thursday, 24 Apr 2008 09:33
New scheduled flights from Doha to the southern Indian state of Kerala will be available from June, Qatar Airways has announced.

A new daily service to the coastal city of Kozhikode (formerly known as Calicut) will begin on June 15th, offering travellers a new route to the subcontinent.

The airline already flies to Cochin and Trivandrum in Kerala and another six cities across India – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad.

Kozhikode is a gateway to Kerala's peaceful beaches, historic sites, lush green scenery and renowned Ayurvedic health treatment centres.

Qatar Airways will operate Airbus A320 aircraft to Kozhikode.
