Lagos gets Radisson SAS hotel

Hotel group Rezidor SAS Hospitality is locating a new Radisson SAS hotel in the Nigerian capital of Lagos.
The 150-bedroom hotel, to be located on the waterfront of Victoria Island, is the first one of its size and quality to be built in Lagos in the last 20 years, says Rezidor.
The company is hoping to exploit the huge demand and potential for both international travellers and the best local market.
Kurt Ritter, President & CEO Rezidor SAS Hospitality said: "I am excited to add yet another country to our rapidly expanding portfolio. Rezidor SAS acknowledges the potential and untapped opportunity for the new developments in this region where RezidorSAS expertise and local entrepreneurship can partner to further success.
"The development of this new property in West Africa is in line with Rezidor SAS' goal to operate 700 hotels by 2012."
The hotel is due to open by the end of 2005.
