Honeymooners can discover diving in the pristine waters of the Red Sea together
Choosing where to go on a honeymoon can be difficult, not least because of the sums involved and the pressure to make it an unforgettable holiday.
But there are some great honeymoon breaks in north Africa, which offer the kind of adventurous holiday experiences you will find easy to recall.
Morocco's incredible architecture and landscape is ideal for an escape, and for adventurous newlyweds one of the best ways of seeing the country's more remote side is astride an Arabian horse.
Just 90 minutes from the bustle of Marrakech, couples can find themselves among the forests, olive and fruit trees in the home of the Berber people.
Trekking on horseback in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains holidaymakers will have a romantic adventure passing through villages, hamlets, streams and meadows of wild flowers.
Individual horse treks of any duration are available through tour operator Best of Morocco, who have a four-night trip in May 2007 from £615 per person, based on two sharing.
The package includes a two-night (three-day) horse trek, all meals, return flights from London Gatwick and a stay at La Roseraie, a holiday property which is set in the midst of a large rose garden.

If you prefer the beach to the countryside, then a diving holiday for two can also be a fantastic honeymoon experience.
At the resort of Dahab in Egypt, holidaymakers do not have to go far to enjoy the wonders of the Red Sea as abundant marine life can be seen close to the shore.
Considered a world-class diving destination, adventurous newlyweds can also travel further out and see some of the region's unique features, which include a 130 metre drop known as the 'Blue Hole'.
And away from the colourful coral reefs, holidaymakers can stroll through Dahab's traditional markets or just relax on the sandy beaches.
A stay at the Hilton Dahab Resort, which has its own large saltwater lagoon, costs from £449 per person for seven nights' bed and breakfast accommodation, return flights from London Gatwick and transfers.
A three-day diving package costs from £80 per person for qualified divers. For more information see
