Chobe National Park, Botswana
If you want a slice of adventure in Africa, but you don’t want to break the bank, Acacia Adventure Holidays offers mini-overland trips of under a week covering South Africa, Botswana and Zambia.
However, from October 1st the tour operator will be discounting all its overland tours by 25 per cent on departures up to July 1st 2009, so guests can cram in plenty of adventure without burning a hole in the holiday backpack.
The six-day African Insight overland itinerary includes the Kruger, complete with (optional) night drive in an adjoining private game reserve, the Chobe National Park and Livingstone.
The trip costs only £207 per person, plus a local payment from £98. Thus, the full price is £305 per person, with a 25 per cent discount of £68.
Bookings need to be made before November 15th. The price includes tour highlights as listed in the brochure, transport, roads tolls and taxes, camping accommodation and cooking equipment, most meals and services of tour leader and driver (no single supplement).
It, however, excludes return international flight, visas, departure taxes, and transfers.
