France is a top active holiday destination
France is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world and offers plenty of mountains, rivers and coastline for active holidaymakers to explore.

As much as 80 per cent of France is countryside, giving holidaymakers plenty of outdoors to see.

France's top active holiday areas include the Atlantic coast, which is a European surfing hotspot, the French Alps - home to some of the busiest and most glamorous ski resorts in the world, and the south of France, ideal for a sailing holidays in the Mediterranean.

France is also one of the most popular places to go on a cycling holiday, and in the summer the mountains are ideal for walking breaks.
