Fyvie Castle is available for functions and parties
When one thinks of the National Trust, they are most likely to think of grand old houses and grounds great for a day trip and tour.
However, National Trust Scotland is now pushing a different side to the organisation, with a whole host of buildings that can be hired out for functions, holidays and weddings.
Families or friends who are planning a special occasion can consider holding their function or party in the auspicious surroundings of one of the National Trust Scotland's 18 available venues.
These include Culzean Castle, spectacularly set atop the Ayrshire cliffs, Fyvie Castle near Aberdeen and No 28 Charlotte Square, set in the heart of Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.
If you have planned a holiday in Scotland, the National Trust Scotland has a number of ideas to make your stay more unique and interesting than the average bed and breakfast or hotel.
The Trust's range of self-catering accommodation and holiday cottages include places like the lighthouse at Stoer Head, a thatched crofter's cottage on the Isle of Skye and apartments within castles.
New additions to the range this year include properties in the Mull of Galloway, the most southerly point of Scotland and based in a bird reserve. There are also coastal views to enjoy at Russell House, an alluring 18th century house in Cromarty.
As well as holidays and private functions, those planning a wedding are also accounted for with National Trust Scotland's properties.
Places available for your special day include Castle Fraser, an immaculate baronial castle situated just outside Aberdeen, which can accommodate 100 admiring guests.
