The movie map allows visitors to follow in Scarlett's footsteps around London
Visitors to London will be able to visit the key locations of Woody Allen's new film,
Match Point, following the launch of a movie map.
Visit London and Film London have teamed up to launch the map of the film, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Match Point, which tells the story of a former tennis-pro, played by Rhys Meyers, who marries his friend's sister but falls in love with his fiancee, played by Johansson, was filmed during seven weeks in London.
Using the map, visitors to London can follow Johansson's footsteps through the city's top shops and restaurants, landmarks such as 30 St Mary's Axe (better known as the Gherkin), Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament.
Lesser-known sites such as Mount Street Gardens and areas such as Belgravia, Marylebone, Notting Hill, Chelsea and Covent Garden are also highlighted.
Visit London chief executive James Bidwell said: "The
Match Point movie map not only demonstrates Woody Allen's love for London and the variety it offers, but also demonstrates the scope for exploring the lesser-known areas of the capital.
"London is a city of endless possibilities and films are a great way of showcasing its diversity and enticing film lovers from around the world."
The
Match Point movie map is available at
www.visitlondon.com or from tourist information centres across the UK.
Match Point, which has been nominated for seven Golden Globes, opens in cinemas across the UK on January 6th 2006.
