If supporting England in the World Cup makes you nostalgic for 1966, then a Herefordshire hotel has just the tonic.
Holme Lacy House Hotel is holding a special four night World Cup short break, where drinks will be sold at 1966 prices during the matches.
Guests will be able to relax watching all the football action on widescreen TVs, including England vs Sweden, with pints costing as little as 10 pence.
If your other half is not seduced by cheap drinks and the spirit of '66, however, do not despair – the hotel has a modern health club with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness studio.
The World Cup break, which runs between Monday June 19th and Friday June 24th, also includes £10 of beauty vouchers for pampering and indulgence in the health club.
Holme Lacy House Hotel itself is an impressive Grade I listed Georgian mansion, set in secluded grounds near Hereford.
When the games are not on, local attractions include Hereford Cathedral, the riverside town of Ross-on-Wye and the Forest of Dean.
The four-night World Cup break costs £280 per person based on two sharing an Ambassador Room, including dinner, bed and breakfast, use of leisure facilities and nightly entertainment.
