Jimmy Carr: among the line-up for We Do Weekends' entertainment short breaks
Entertainment short breaks' provider We Do Weekends has lined up comedians Jimmy Carr, Jasper Carrott and Phil Cool for its 2006 brochure.
The trio of comics are joined by Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings, Toyah Wilcox and Aled Jones from the music world in providing entertainment to the adult-only holiday groups.
We Do Weekends was launched in September 2005 to provide a new concept in entertainment short breaks.
Aimed particularly at couples and groups in their 30s, 40s and 50s the breaks take in some of the UK's most impressive Grade 1 and 2 listed hotels, while providing entertainment in 500 seater 'comedy club' style auditoriums.
We Do Weekends' entertainment short breaks have featured psychic and star of TV's
Most Haunted, Derek Acorah.
Reflecting Britain's current obsession with ballroom dancing, this year's brochure will also include Simply Ballroom, featuring Lionel Blair and
Strictly Come Dancing's Anton du Beke and Erin Boag.
Paul Merton's Impro Chums, rock queens Suzi Quatro and Carol Decker, and soul star Alexander O'Neal are back by popular demand.
Prices start from £269 per person per break, sharing an Ambassador room for three nights including dinner, bed and breakfast and use of hotel facilities.
