Details of the cycleway can be found in Northumberland's Nationa Park guide
A new 160-mile cycleway through Hadrian's Wall country, Northumberland, is due to open later this year.
The cycleway will run from Tynemouth and South Shields on the north-east coast, to Ravenglass on the Cumbrian coast.
The first phase of the cycleway, between Maryport and the north-east coast, will open in July 2006.
The route will also include circular rides alongside Hadrian's Wall, which are suitable for families, and there is also a bike-carrying Hadrian's Wall bus service for those who want to rest in between bike rides.
Details of the Hadrian's Wall cycleway can be found in the new
2006 Northumberland National Park Visitor Guide.
The guide also provides details of the new access rights provided by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act, which permit walking across mapped 'access land'.
