There are now more cheap flights to Geneva
Holiday-makers wanting to check out the delights of Switzerland on a budget now have greater opportunity to do so after easyJet announced it was launching more flights to Geneva.
Edinburgh, Glasgow and London Stansted all now offer direct flights to Geneva, home to some of the world's premier ski resorts, while Bournemouth and Sheffield/Doncaster have also been added.
easyJet said in a statement: "Its beauty, charm and privileged location, makes Geneva a popular location."
The city is a desirable destination for those seeking a peaceful getaway, as it is a gateway to the Alps, sitting at the base of the Jura mountains.
Another bonus boasted by Geneva is the fact that it sits on the banks of the largest lake in central Europe, offering the famous Jet d'eau, which sprays water as high as 450 feet into the air.
In addition to the natural beauty, boutiques are available to be browsed in the city's Old Town, while the impressive and statuesque yachts can be admired in the harbour.
Geneva's centre is also packed with museums, including the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Art and History.
And then of course there are the slopes, which thousands are planning on skiing on this winter.
