As the summer heat slowly begins to pour over the wintry chill of Poland, a whole host of musical, cultural and sporting events come to the eastern European country.

Poland, which is far from warm out of season, is surprisingly hot during the summer months, and holidaymakers will be able to take advantage of a range of outdoor treats to maximise their enjoyment of the weather.

As far as concerts go, none come any bigger than a performance from ageing rockers, The Rolling Stones.

Mick, Keith and co will be bringing their Bigger Bang tour into Poland's capital, Warsaw, for a huge gig on June 18th at the city's Bemevo airport.

As always, demand for tickets to see the veteran performers is sky-high so only the fast will get to dance to the likes of Jumpin' Jack Flash and Sympathy for the Devil.

If it is a more laid back and altogether more classical experience you are looking for, then it is worth considering the International Festival of Organ Music.

Held in Plock between May and June, the festival features classic chamber and organ music performed by some of Europe's leading lights.

In a similar vein there is another organ music festival in the shape of Warsaw's International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music.

Held between May and July, top local and foreign musicians focus on the output of the world's most renowned organist and composer, Bach, as well as performing works from other renowned composers.

Finally, on May 6th in Wroclaw, there is dirt and excitement on for the Cinder-track Grand Prix, which pits Europe's top dirt-track motorcyclists against one another.
