Trips to Ireland's south coast cities from £6
Coach operator Eurolines is offering single fares to Ireland's south coast cities from just £6.
A single to Cork typically costs around £50, but through Eurolines' fun fares, this is reduced to £6 – including a £3 booking fee.
Cork is the 2005 European capital of culture and will be rounding off the year with a month of closing celebrations, including a series of public events, incorporating the themes of light and journey.
Similarly, a single to Waterford, famous for its Waterford Crystal glassware, is reduced to £6 from £45 through Eurolines' fun fares.
Eurolines' managing director John Gilbert said: "We believe these fares are unbeatable value for anyone wanting to get to the south and southwest of Ireland. It’s a simple case of getting online for a corking deal."
However, the fares are only available on a limited allocation basis through Eurolines' website, which means they need to be booked well in advance.
They are also only available on single journeys, so for travellers wishing to book a return, two single tickets would need to be purchased.
The coach uses the Fishguard-Rosslare Stena Line ferry service on the route to Waterford and Cork. Journeys to Cork take about 16 hours, with the coach leaving London in the evening and arriving the following morning.
But there are no additional add-ons such as fuel charges, taxes or booking fees.
