Laskarina specialises in holidays to unspoilt Greek islands
Laskarina Holidays has unveiled a number of new properties in its 2006 Greece holiday brochure.
The company, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, specialises in providing holidays to small and untouched Greek islands such as Leros, Halki and Samos.
Options for 2006 now include the Villa Nitsa on the island of Halki, which is a few miles off the coast of Rhodes.
There is no mass tourism on Halki, and the island contains many picturesque working fishing villages.
In 2005, the president of Greece apparently stayed at the Villa Nitsa, which boasts views of neighbouring islands from its terrace. A two-week holiday in the Villa Nitsa's two-bed apartment in July costs £670 per person.
Another new property where ministers and high-profile dignitaries have stayed is the VIP suite at the Crithoni Paradise Hotel on the tiny island of Leros, which is just off the coast of Turkey.
The suite is reserved for dignitaries during July and August, but is available for booking through the rest of the year.
Laskarina's managing director Ian Murdoch said the company was reflecting the desire for more sophisticated holiday destinations.
"Over the past few years, tourism in Greece has continued to grow and recently, there has been a shift towards more sophisticated tastes," he said.
