Historic Greek and Swiss hotels gain seal of approval

Tourists seeking an historic place to stay in Greece of Switzerland can now choose from a range of accommodation accredited by Historic Hotels Europe.

A range of historical hotels and guesthouses in the two countries have been brought under the HHE banner, which offers guests authentic high quality places of accommodation, fine regional cuisine and traditional hospitality.

The Yades Heritage & Hospitality Hotel Group in Greece us run by talented young entrepreneur Barbara Avdis, who inspired by the HHE concept, grouped together selected historical houses in Greece.

The Swiss Historic Hotels, co-ordinated by Peter Kuhler, are committed to the preservation and revival of the cultural elements of historical hotel buildings and guesthouses.

Their membership, which is subject to very strict criteria, was recently given the seal of approval following a detailed analysis and inspections visits.

HHE is represented in the UK by 39 properties under the Pride of Britain Hotels banner.
