Tickets for the Monaco grand prix are on sale
The 64th Monaco grand prix may still be over three months away, but for anyone considering attending, now is the time to book your trip.
With its backdrop of private yachts, penthouses and a spectacular harbour, Monaco is the perfect venue for the razzmatazz of Formula One.
Once a year the streets of the principality are turned into the most recognisable Formula One circuit in the world, including the famed Loews hairpin – the slowest corner in Formula One – and the Virage Du Portier tunnel.
For those who can afford it, the circuit is lined with many stylish hotels providing guests with a view of the action.
The most famous is the Hotel de Paris, located on the Casino Square; while the Mirabeau, Fairmont Monte Carlo and Metropole all have excellent views of the hairpin and tunnel entrance. The Port Palace hotel looks onto the tunnel exit.
Hotels away from the noise include the Meridien Beach Plaza, Hotel Hermitage, the new Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort, and the Columbus Hotel, which is co-owned by Scots racing driver David Coulthard.
When the race is over and the noise fades away, Monaco has plenty of bars, clubs and casinos to keep you entertained.
Join the international jet set at nightclubs including The Living Room, Karement or the world famous Jimmy'z; or lounge with celebs in bars such as Black Diamond, Cafe Grand Prix, Stars 'n' Bars, La Note Bleue and Zebra Square.
Casinos include the renowned Monte Carlo Casino, the Sun Casino, Salles des Palmiers or Cafe de Paris.
