New flights from London to Helsinki

Wednesday, 18 Jan 2006 13:58
Helsinki: Blue 1 will fly twice daily to the Finnish capital from London Stansted
Finnish airline Blue 1 has announced new flights between London and the Finnish capital of Helsinki.

The airline, which is part of SAS Group, will start operating twice-daily flights, Monday to Friday, from London Stansted to Helsinki from March 26th 2006.

There will, however, be no departures on Saturday, and only one departure each way on Sunday.

"Finland has a growing business market and at the same time offers a very attractive destination for UK holidaymakers for both summer and winter," said Lars Ove-Filipson, SAS Group general manager.

One-way fares will start from £79, including taxes, and the tickets will be flexible so that passengers can fly economy on the outbound leg and business class on the return if desired.
