Five holiday hotspots for the future

Several African countries have a bright tourist future
It seems unlikely now, but tourists will be flocking to countries such as Mozambique and Angola within the next five years.
Adventure holiday tour operator Guerba picked out the two African countries as travel hotspots for 2010.
It also predicts big things for another African country, Rwanda, along with Mongolia in Asia and some lesser known areas of the Caribbean.
Ian Ripper, Guerba's director, explained that the tour operator was constantly "investigating countries that show potential and are opening up after years of conflict, economic instability, or simply because they haven’t been on people’s radars as true travel destinations".
Mozambique, on the Indian Ocean, is enjoying a period of economic stability and renewed foreign investment following prolonged civil laws in the 1970s and 80s, leading Guerba to mark it down as 'one to watch'.
Angola, which lies on Africa's southern coast, is in a similar position – rebuilding after the end of a 27-year war in 2002.
"Many people will be surprised at some of the countries in which real interest is being shown," Mr Ripper said.
"Take Rwanda for example, which despite its past problems, has seen a small emergence in tourism, especially among French nationals."
In the Caribbean, Mr Ripper highlights the island of Dominica as a destination of the future. With natural beauty that includes 5,000ft mountain peaks and inland freshwater lakes, providing good trekking terrain, it offers more than just a beach holiday.
Mongolia, on the other hand, is described as "vast, exciting and different" and "there's no reason for people not to go there".
