Queenstown is NZ's adrenalin capital
Queenstown has been voted New Zealand's sexiest place for the third year running.
The country's adrenalin capital captured more than 40 per cent of the vote in an annual survey by Durex.
Visitors to the town often partake in extreme sports such as white water rafting, bungee jumping and hang gliding.
And revellers interviewed by The Southland Times newspaper felt that all this adrenalin has helped the town to achieve its sexy status.
"It's all the adventure," said Naomi Pearce of Perth, Australia.
Stuart Ayling of Dublin, Ireland, told the paper: "It's all the bars, the scenery, the cool, beautiful people."
Meanwhile, residents of nearby Cardrona Valley have done nothing to dispel the area's reputation by voting to retain their world-famous "bra fence".
It had been under threat after an American part-time worker complained that it was inappropriate and created a potential traffic hazard.
The bra fence originated at the Millennium when four local women celebrated their "liberation" by removing their bras and hanging them on a farmer's roadside fence.
Hundreds of other bras have since appeared on the fence and it has become a tourist attraction with visitors to the area stopping to photograph it.
It has proved so popular that special parking facilities have recently been created to reduce the danger of vehicles stopping by the roadside.
