Thailand: visitors are being warned of terror attacks
Visitors to Thailand are being warned of imminent terrorist attacks.
The warning comes from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs, which updated its guidance for Thailand last week.
It says that terrorists are planning attacks against a range of targets, including those visited by tourists.
And it urges visitors to the country to exercise "extreme caution".
The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office currently warns of a high threat of terrorism throughout Thailand, particularly in the southern provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Songkhla.
It recommends all but essential travel to these four provinces.
