If you like your holidays to involve more than a little hard graft, then disabled people's charity Scope could have the answer.
Scope is looking for adventurers to climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in January 2007.
The trek to Africa's highest peak – standing at 5,895 metres – will take six days and provide participants with an unforgettable experience.
"To climb to the roof of Africa is the most overwhelming, emotional and physical achievement of my life," said participant Maureen Gant.
"It will never be forgotten."
The route begins in lush jungle and alpine meadows, before working its way to the snow-capped summit where six days of hard work will be rewarded with views of dawn breaking across the savannah.
"Adventurers the world over dream of conquering this mighty mountain and now Scope is giving members of the public a once-in-a-lifetime chance to achieve this," said Siobhan Caleb, senior event fundraiser at Scope.
"Anyone looking not only for a holiday, but also a life changing experience that will also help disabled people achieve equality should contact us and find our just what a Scope trek is all about."
If Kilimanjaro is not high enough for you, Scope is also running trips to Mount Everest – the highest place on earth.
This 19-day trek follows a route through the Khumba region of Nepal to the base of Everest, before scaling Kala Pattar for the classic view of Mount Everest and the Khumba Icefall.
To take part in either event, participants need to raise a minimum level of sponsorship, but flights, accommodation, meals and qualified guides are provided.
