Russia entry requirements
British nationals travelling to Russia must fill out a migration card. While it can be filled out in English, it is written only in Russian. For advice on how to fill out the card, visit the British embassy's website at
www.britishembassy.gov.uk.
One half of the migration card should be kept with your passport at all times, in case you need to give identity checks during your stay in Russia.
Visas are required to enter Russia. They should be obtained from the Russian embassy in London, the details of which can be found at
www.great-britain.mid.ru. The visa should be registered within three working days of arriving in Russia, at your nearest ministry of internal affairs.
It is advisable to have a passport with more than six months left to run on it.
Russia health
A Reciprocal Health Care Agreement operates between the UK and Russia, entitling British nationals to free treatment in Russian hospitals.
Travellers should ensure they are covered by adequate travel insurance.
Tap water should not be drunk in Russia.
