Norway entry requirements
British nationals do not need a visa to travel to Norway. To work or live in Norway, an EEA permit should be obtained from the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration.
Norway health
A degree of caution should be exercised when eating mussels from the coast. Local advice should clarify the safety of the shellfish. Similar advice should be sought for eating fish caught in fjords and lakes.
Travellers to Norway should obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which does not replace travel insurance, but allows you to receive emergency treatment on the same terms as a Norwegian person. The EHIC can be obtained for free from the Post Office.
Travellers should ensure they are covered by adequate travel insurance.
