Advice on budget, affordable and luxury accommodation in Hanover.
Budget accommodation in Hanover
Stay in a well-kept, old building for only a few euros at Hostel Hannover. Based fairly near the centre of Hanover, the big bedrooms are comfortably laid out for groups, though there are smaller ones for couples or individual travellers.
Not as cheap as a hostel, but still great value for money, Krugers on Bantorfer Brink is a charming little guesthouse in the rural surroundings of the Deister Natural Park. The perfect escape into the countryside, the city is still easily accessible by public transport, and all rooms are ensuite.
Affordable accommodation in Hanover
Hotel Martens on Waldstrasse offers bright spacious bedrooms that are immaculately kept, which are set in a huge old building, with towering ceilings and lived-in yet smart interiors. It also benefits from being a short walk away from Eilenriede Forest.
Ideal for business travellers and holidaymakers on a budget, the Suitehotel interestingly combines a bedroom, living area and workspace into one. The décor fuses modernist design with super-functionality, through the inclusion of a pull-out screen that can separate the living area and bedroom with minimal fuss. It also comes with desk and television, and while there is no pool, there is a gym in this small yet perfectly formed hotel.
Luxury accommodation in Hanover
Large rooms with a spacious living area, the Crowne Plaza is ideal for relaxation and recharging your batteries. Terrifically comfy beds, well-cooked breakfasts, room service dinners, and a pleasant terrace to enjoy some al fresco dining, combine with a very central location for an easy, relaxing break.
Away from the buzzing centre, in the pleasant outskirts of the city is the Grand Hotel Mussmann, a huge white, resplendent building with wide marble corridors, and a cheery courtyard. The rooms are large and while it is a hotel favoured by businessmen, it is recommended for those who want to stay a little out of the thick of it.
