Advice on budget, affordable and luxury accommodation in Hamburg.
Budget accommodation in Hamburg
Smart, central and cheap, Pension Kieler Hof offers a range of rooms, including bigger ones for groups of friends and smaller, cosier affairs for couples. It is also suitable for children, so ideal for families travelling on a budget.
A bargain for those who want to sleep near the scenic Hamburg Harbour, Hotel Helgoland Hamburg offers comfortably done-out rooms and a range of sports and gym facilities that are a bonus for the hotel's price.
Affordable accommodation in Hamburg
A little out of the centre, but great if you want a modernist, trendy place to rest your head, the 25 Hours Hotel is ideal for the young, happening crowd. The prices are reasonable, the décor sometimes minimalist while at the same time retro, but it is all held together by the sense that this is the place to be seen sleeping.
Great for a romantic break, Abtei is a small, converted townhouse, with plush and cosy rooms, fantastic, fresh food and a well-tended garden to relax in.
Luxury accommodation in Hamburg
Great if you want to be in the thick of it without realising, the Raffles Four Seasons Hotel is centrally located but blissfully quiet inside. It has large rooms and a great spa, and is based right next to Hamburg's hip shops and restaurants, as well as sitting right across from the lake.
Ideally situated in the peaceful Alster part of the city, the Dorint Sofitel overlooks the river Elbe and has giant, comfy rooms and a well-appointed pool, sauna and spa complex.
